Certified Cardiac Perfusionist Course - (January 2008 - December 2009)
The Nursing Division and Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi (AKUH,K) is offering a two year Certified Cardiac Perfusionist Course (January 2008-December 2009).
Aims and Objectives
The course aims to prepare eligible students to become safe Cardiac Perfusionists, i.e. to assume responsibility to deliver high tech proficient care to meet patients' needs with high acuity level during major surgeries. Students will be trained to use complex, challenging, specialised instruments for Basic Life-Support.
Upon successful completion of the course and av ailability of a vacant position, employment may be offered.

Admission Test
Admission test based on General Knowledge, Science and English, will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Screening Interview will be conducted by the selection Committee.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum FSC (Pre-Medical) at least 60% and above;
- Good spoken and written English comprehension and expression.
