Aga Khan University School of Nursing (AKU-SON) was the first academic unit of the University in operation beginning in 1980. At present, AKU-SON conducts four academic programmes, General Nursing (RN) Diploma, BSc in Nursing (Post RN), BSc in Nursing and MSc in Nursing. In addition, a preparatory programme, Track 1 (eighteen weeks), is offered for students from underprivileged areas to enable them to cope with the academic demands of the RN Diploma programme.
Since the establishment of School of Nursing, 2,232 students have graduated from AKU-SON.
Financial Assistance
Aga Khan University Financial Assistance Programme operates to help students in need to meet their educational expenses at the University.
Assistance is available to students who have been admitted into graduate or undergraduate programmes offered only in Pakistan. Students and families are encouraged to seek other avenues of funding before applying to AKU.
Students who wish to apply for financial assistance can download the application form and submit the completed form, addressed to: Manager, Student Financial Counselling and Assistance Office by the deadline mentioned in the admission letter.
